Meet Danielle Bishop
Hi, I’m Danielle
I’m Danielle Bishop, beauty business coach, mentor and founder of The Beauty Business Method. My 24 years in beauty have taken me from managing luxury skincare brands and million-pound retail accounts to building my own business, Essential Beauty Essex.
After leaving retail, having my little boy and becoming a single parent, I returned to beauty and started Essential Beauty Essex 12 years ago. I put everything I had learned into running my own business, alongside looking after my son. I still work in my salon today, so I understand the realities of balancing clients, business decisions and family life.
Beauty Business Method grew from helping friends and colleagues with their beauty businesses. Today, I help solo beauty therapists understand their numbers, price with confidence, market their services navigate social media and get organised. As your coach and mentor, I’ll help you work through the challenges and turn your next steps into manageable actions.
Why I created BBM
Being a great beauty therapist and knowing how to run a sustainable business are two different skills.
Beauty training teaches us how to deliver treatments and care for our clients. But we can start working for ourselves without feeling prepared to set prices, understand profit, attract clients or put boundaries in place.
It is easy to feel that the answer is another treatment qualification, more appointments or longer hours. Sometimes, what needs attention is the business around the treatments.
I created BBM to help solo beauty therapists build those foundations, with clear explanations, practical tools and support that relates to their everyday work.
Because talented therapists deserve businesses that look after them too.
The approach
Practical support for your business
01
My approach is to make the business side easier to understand and act on.
That means helping you understand what your treatments cost, make informed pricing decisions, market your services and create systems that make your working day more manageable.
02
It also means taking a step back to ask what you want from your business. The income you need, the hours you want to work and the life you want it to support.
03
Whether you are finding your feet or have been working for yourself for years, you deserve to feel confident in the decisions you make.
